MEADOW THATCH is a charming 16th century thatched cottage with an adjoining, recently converted, delightful barn . Set in a picturesque and secluded garden with south facing panoramic views over open farmland, towards Kennet & Avon canal.
Newbury Races, Watermill Theatre, Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), National Trust properties and wonderful walks and cycling on the Kennet and Avon canal, are just some of the activities our guests enjoy.
It is an oasis where peace and tranquility can be found and nothing is too much trouble for the owners, Prue and Anthony, whose aim is to make everyone feel welcomed and valued and to go away well rested with happy memories.
In the village of Midgham, near the pretty village of Woolhampton, and near Newbury and Reading. 10 minutes from M4 (J12), 45 minutes from Heathrow, just over an hour from Gatwick, with Southampton just 45-50 minutes away.
We had a lovely overnight stay here the cottage was immaculate and very homely with everything that you would need . The owner was very helpful and informative and suggested lots of nearby walks through the countryside with our two dogs. Breakfast was very nice too. We look forward to visiting again sometime.
Thanks
Thank you so much Lisa. It was a pleasure to have you to stay and we much hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you back another time.
